OFFICIAL Card - Germany

I don't know why, but it is always extra fun when a shaped card arrives in the mailbox. This great heart shaped card came from Ursula and shows views of the city of Heidelberg, Germany. She wrote about the city, her hobbies and the fact she loves dark chocolate.

OFFICIAL Card - Japan

Junko from Japan sent this card. Such a simple graphic and message and such a great looking card. When I Google the phrase there are so many different things that come up from song lyrics to marital arts school. Who knows, but I like it either way!

OFFICIAL Card - Netherlands

Louise from Woudenberg sent me this fun card today. While I do receive many cards from The Netherlands it never ceases to amaze me how different each one is. This card show some really fun aerial views. It is a toss up as to which is my favourite one, although the pig has kept me smiling since I got the mail. Louise wrote telling me she loves photography and keeps a blog, her photos are really beautiful. Something I hadn't noticed until I scanned the card was the stamps she used - they are all new to me and so unique.

OFFICIAL Card - Poland

Shaped postcards can be fun, really fun, and this one is at the top of the list. Ula from Gdansk, Poland sent me this, my first card from Poland, last April. to say I {heart} this card is an understatement. All the little pictures in and around Warsaw are just so much fun when shaped as a heart! It also includes the city hall which is the third line down and second row from the right. Ula tells me Warsaw is about 5 hours from her home and her brother goes to school there. I can't figure out if any of the pictures are of the University or not. The card also features the Warsaw coat of arms.

OFFICIAL Card - Netherlands

This card is really sweet and if I had to pick a favourite of the day this would be it! Pier and his daughters aged 7 & 4 Postcross together. They live in the province of Fryslan. The card is made from a photo of his girls carrying the Frisian flag. How nice is that flag with all the hearts on it and how cute are his kids!!! This particular area even has it own language - Fries - and he writes some common words in Fries, Dutch and English to illustrate the differences and similarities. So envious of people who speak more than one language.

OFFICIAL Card - South Korea

I received this card just a few days after Valentines Day from Jinee in Korea. The design is so simple, the colours are really soft and I think it is such a pretty card. Once again my scanner doesn't seem to do it justice - I think you might be reading that statement a lot. The characters contained within the heart are various imitating sounds & mimetic words like 'pitapat' etc. Neat, huh? They also translated wording on the stamp for me and it means "Our language gets dignified so does our country, our language gets indignified (sic) so does our country".  South Korea is another country where there are not many Postcrossers so another rare one for my collection.
