So this card kind of has a funny story to it, or at least it has made me laugh. Since the postal increase I have been on a very tight and strict budget when it comes to purchasing stamps. I am slowing down on both officials and swaps and while tough at times it still is keeping me busy and happy. I saw an offer in the Forum offering cards from Corfu and "jumped" at the chance. Wrote my note, gave my offers thought the user name looked familiar but couldn't place it, fingers crossed they liked my offers. No sooner did I hit send and then I realized "Wait, Corfu isn't Cyprus"! I had totally misread the offer. Sini remembered our previous swap ( I knew the name was familiar!) and liked what I had to offer, I was too embarrassed to go back and tell her I had it wrong - yet, I have no problem sharing it here! Either way, it is a great map card she sent me....even if it isn't of Cyprus!

Thank You Card - Christina from Greece
In April I sent Christina a card and wrote to her about which office towers I used to work in amongst other things. She really liked the card when she received it and asked for my address to send a thank you. It is hard sometimes to handle a request like that. I know I would love to send out more cards than I do to brighten peoples days but time and budget have to keep me focused. I figure if someone asks they are initiating it and while very nice I never expect it.
This card shows the Temple of Olympian Zeus in her hometown of Athens. This is exactly the type of image that comes to mind when I think of Greece. Beautiful card - thank you for the thank you!!!

Direct Swap - Maria from Greece
Maria posted in the forum looking to receive certain types of cards to round out her collection. Lucky for me maps from Canada were some of the cards she wanted, so we agreed to swap. In return for the Ontario map I sent, she sent me this great little bit of everything gem. If I can "only have one" card from a country, for me it would be a map. So to have a map, flag and several views, including the Olympic Flame, is a real treat. Then a Christmas stamp to top it off - perfection!

OFFICIAL Card - Belgium
Yesterday I received this card from Vivi. I tried three times to upload it and every time I did the power blipped off shutting down the computer. Fourteen hours and five inches of snow later and I am back in business.
Vivi sent me this card from her home country of Greece, is shows a view of Santorini at night. She writes me that she is currently working in Brussels, Belgium and that her favourite food is green beans. She's right - that isn't a food I would expect someone to answer!
