OFFICIAL Card - Brazil

Not very often a card arrives from Brazil, this is only my third in over three years. Jackeline lives in the country side of Sao Paulo and sent this great card. It shows a view of the Liberdade or "Freedom" a district within the city which is known for having a high Asian population. To be honest when I think of "Chinatowns" Brazil is not a place I would naturally think of. So glad she sent this card and help to broaden my horizons.

This card has got me stumped. Alberto from Rio de Janeiro sent it to me and it shows an evening view of the Hilton Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The card is old. I mean yellowy back (not that I mind) old. I have googled several different ways and the Hilton that is there now is not the same building. Unless I am missing something, you tell what you think. I know hotels in Toronto seem to change somewhat frequently but I cannot find anything to help me out with this one. A neat card none the less.

Today I received my first card from Brazil - yeah me! I don't know why, but since the kids and I have started Postcrossing we each have had a particular country we have wanted to get a card from. Mine has been Brazil - who knows, it was probably the first thing that came into my mind when they first asked and it has stuck. I've sent two but until today had no such luck in receiving one.

This card from Cinthia shows the part of Sao Paulo that she both lives and works in. She tells me it is the green building under the "P" in Paulista. Neat to see and so different from where I have ever lived even when I was in a big city. The card itself is huge - almost 9 inches long, a true panoramic shot!
