PostalLove is based in Poland. I am hoping that is the only reason she has issued a third edition of the "greetings from" series for this country only. If all of the countries I have collected start to get an update I will have to rethink this collection. It is proving to be a bit of a challenge with some countries as I like it posted from the country depicted on the front. I was lucky that Anna made an order the day it was released and she was happy to swap with me. Another fabulous design and addition to my collection! Now, if I can only find China.....

Greetings from Poland - Direct Swap with Jolanta
Yeah!!! For now, my collection of PostalLove "Greetings from..." is complete! I do not know why but there are two versions of the Polish card - one has 2013 statistics, the other 2014. I had the older version and was still on the hunt for the newer one. I am seriously hoping they update every country as it was hard to connect for the card once let alone twice! Lucky for me, Jolanta posted in the the Postcrossing Forum one day that she had some to swap. She wrote me about her recent travels to Turkey- nice! Great stamps as well.

Greetings from Poland - Direct Swap with Monika
Monika replied to a post I made on Facebook looking for PostalLove cards. She did not have the current version of the Poland card but had the first edition. I didn't even know there were more than one version so was happy to swap for this retired "collectible". Now to hunt for the 2014 version, which might not be easy as it has been sold out for awhile. It will be hard enough to find people to swap with as the new countries are introduced if they get revised too I might be sunk! Thank you Monika for the swap!

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Beata lives in Warsaw and sent this amazing alphabet card to me! It shows the "ogonek". I would love to receive other cards in this series if there are any - fingers crossed! The stamps she chose are interesting. At first glance I thought the one on the left was a Christmas stamp as to me they looked like gingerbread men. Quick translation of the text and it is celebrating the anniversary of the UN. Ooops!

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
More views of Warsaw made their way into my mailbox this time compliments of Alicja. She lives there while studying for her PhD in psychiatry. The views show the Town Square and Gothic Town Hall, which is an UNESCO site. The University of Warsaw and the Town Square once again with St Elizabeth's church.

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Joanna from Warsaw, Poland is #4 on number of cards sent from that country. It took a long 41 days for this night time multi-view to make it to me. She is an English teacher and wrote me during her mid-semester break. As the stamp and cancellation are from Czech Republic maybe she was on holidays (?). I have tried to Google what the various buildings are and am not having much luck. Maybe they look different in the day and the shiny light are throwing me! Anyone have any idea as to what these buildings?

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Karolina lives outside of Warsaw and wrote telling me all about the vegetables she has started from seed. She can't wait for Spring and to get planting in her garden. While I only plant flowers and not even very well, I too can't wait for Spring - it has been a long winter! The card she sent has a picture of a stork. The text on the back unfortunately I cannot translate for whatever reason so who knows what else it might say. And the stamps - fabulous!

Groups Swap - Lookea from Poland
The last of the four cards from the "12-12-12" postmark swap I participated in came to me about a week ago. It took awhile but was well worth the wait. Lookea from Poland sent me this card of Centennial Hall in Warsaw, which is a UNESCO site. The symmetry of this view is stunning. Of all the postmarks too, I think this one was the most crisp. She wrote telling me about her hectic day and her exams. Hope everything went well.

I received this multi-view of Kolo, Poland last week from the user Kusiu0. The main picture shows the Town Hall and along the bottom ruins of a Gothic Castle and churches.

Expired Card - Poland
You know my mailbox is slow if I can find the time lately to feature my cards that have expired! This one has been travelling for over 210 days to Poland. I love this card and while sad that it never made it there (yet?) at least I have somewhat easy access to get more. I've only been to Niagara Falls once in the winter. My Mom and I went to Buffalo for the day once shopping, easily 20 years ago. I can't remember if she said she had never seen them at night or in the winter, but either way, we drove back across the Rainbow Bridge and I took her at something crazy like 10:00PM on a freezing weekday night after a full day at the outlets with both of us having to work the next day. Just to surprise her and so she could say that she had seen them. Maybe not a bucket list item, but spontaneous and fun nonetheless. Not quite a frozen over as in this picture but the card brings back a whole bunch of wonderful memories.

Direct Swap - Karolina from Poland
A few weeks ago I came across a post Karolina had made in the Forum about cards she was looking to swap. When looking through her trade album I saw she had several cards from the 1972 Munich Olympics. These were not cards she was offering in the post but thought I would ask. She was happy to trade and requested a card of Niagara Falls. Funny, our cards both arrived on the same day last week and she was just as happy with the card I sent as I am with this one. Great swap - thanks Karolina!

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Kacper from Glogow (I can't put the accents where they belong), sent this card to me earlier in the week. While he goes to school in Warsaw, he wrote telling me this view is from his favourite city - Zamosc, a spot he holidays at every year. I have also learnt that this is a UNESCO site. Kacper, also sent me an early birthday wish - my first this year - very sweet of him!

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Natalia from Dabrowka, Poland sent me this night view of the National Stadium in Warsaw which also arrived last week. She tells me there was a communistic and old stadium on the site before this was built for Euro 2012. Now I have two different cards showing stadiums from that series - fun!

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
One card today in the mail for me and a great one at that. Kinga from Poznan, Poland sent me this card last week after seeing it in my favourites. It is a great map of her country and the coat of arms for the major cities of the country. It also has the flag of Europe which is something I just learnt about today. Who knew?!?

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Przemek an engineer from Gora, Poland sent me this multi-view of his hometown which I received this week. He tells me Gora means "top" or "mountain". The views include the water tower, the post office and I believe the town hall.

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
This beach scene from Ola in Poland arrived two weeks ago. If I am googling correctly this is a beach area on the Baltic Sea in Northern Poland. The sand looks fantastic and just not something I would normally think to associate with this country. She signed off the card saying - "Hope you are smiling while reading this" - love it!

Direct Swap - Magda from Poland
Two weeks ago Magda contacted me about doing a swap. She saw a card I had recently sent of Niagara Falls. I checked out her swap album on Picassa and settled on this card. Why this one you may ask? It shows the stadium in Gdansk that hosted the Euro 2012 and I had just watched about 5 minutes of a game earlier that morning. Soccer isn't really my thing but this one seemed so in the moment if that makes sense. She wrote me about a knitting project she is working on which sounds really fun. Just sent her card out yesterday, hope she likes it too!

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
I received this card on Friday from Jacek in Krakow, Poland. The card shows the Novum Collegium which houses the administrative departments of Jagiellonian University in his hometown. According to Wikipedia it is one of the oldest universities in the world having been established in 1364 and it is the oldest university in Poland. A great card coming to me at lightening speed - over 7000 kms in 4 days!

OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Remember this card I posted awhile back? Kind of neat that I also received a daytime view of the same city last May from Paulina, who lives just outside of Poznan. The middle left picture is of the Jesuit College and the lower left is the Imperial Castle.
OFFICIAL Card - Poland
Jacob a 13 year old Postcrosser sent this card in November. It shows the Main Square and St. Mary's Church in Krakow, Poland his hometown.
