OFFICIAL Card - Brazil

Not very often a card arrives from Brazil, this is only my third in over three years. Jackeline lives in the country side of Sao Paulo and sent this great card. It shows a view of the Liberdade or "Freedom" a district within the city which is known for having a high Asian population. To be honest when I think of "Chinatowns" Brazil is not a place I would naturally think of. So glad she sent this card and help to broaden my horizons.

Random Act of Smiliness - Nalini from Trinidad & Tobago

Nalini and I have swapped in the past. She was cleaning through some of her cards, had this one and thought of me. How thoughtful! The view shows an aerial view of Singapore's Chinatown. Great card - thanks Nalini!

OFFICIAL Card - England

It's funny how certain themes of cards seem to come in waves. I do not have many Chinatown cards in my collection, yet I received this one shortly after my swap I wrote about a few days ago. Mary sent this great card showing the arch to the Chinatown in Liverpool, England. She tells me it is home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe.

Direct Swap - Katie from Canada

On the PC Forum, Katie was offering cards showing Chinatown in Victoria, BC. I was happy when she agreed to swap with me. She sent the cards in an envelope (actually two!) and included a few others too. Very nice cards - thank you!

OFFICIAL Card - Japan

When I last updated my wish list in April, I included the wish of hopefully receiving cards showing local Chinatowns. I find they are always so bright and festive looking. While I have received a few, overall it has not been too many. Ren lives in Kobe, Japan and says she often eats out in her local Chinatown as seen on this card.

OFFICIAL Card - USA

Debra from Connecticut sent me this card of Chicago's Chinatown late in December. We vacationed in Chicago last August and had an amazing time, one of our best vacations yet. There was so much to see and do we could have easily spent another week there. We never made it to Chinatown so receiving this card was the next best thing!
