OFFICIAL Card - Russia

Once these fabulous stamps were on there wasn't much room for Ludmila to write on the back of this card. I {love} when the extra around the stamps are included and here she could not have chosen a better match of card and stamp. Almost 30 years since my visit and I can still recall just how stunning the subway stations in Moscow are. This card is simply wonderful.

OFFICIAL Card - Germany

Anne is a grandmother from Wuppertal, Germany. She sent this card with views of her hometown to me two weeks ago. By reading this article I think the town sounds lovely, so much history and so much green space. The best of both worlds. The suspended monorail looks interesting. While I don't think I would have a problem being on it, I might being under it. What about you?

OFFICIAL Card - Belarus

Sergey is a thirty-something German living in Brest, Belarus. He sent me this card which took 18 days to travel just over 7,100 km to me. I had such a good laugh when I read his profile - "I can't travel a lot because my natural laziness and lack of time." You have got to love honesty like that! The view shows the railway station in Brest in 1886. While there are a few lines on the back of the card, the font used is really stumping me on virtual keyboard, so I am not really too sure what it says.

OFFICIAL Card - Taiwan

I received this card in September from Maika in Osaka, Japan. The card shows the Hakone Tozan Tetsudou. In English this mean Mountain Climbing Railway. Maika wrote it out in both Japanese characters and then English.- my handwriting can be sloppy at the best of times I couldn't imagine trying to write in characters - it does not look easy! Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers - this looks like it would be such a beautiful ride going through all those flowering bushes.
