I must admit when this card came to me my first thought was "a handful of corn" - they do make cards of everything! Turns out I couldn't have been more wrong. The fruit in the photo is an Arctic Cloudberry, which when I look closer does somewhat resemble a yellow raspberry. Reading about the tastes and uses this fruit sounds like one I would love! Liisa also used a great Christmas stamp on the card. This was actually her second attempt at sending the card, the first expired after 60 days and she tried again. 114 days after requesting my address and it arrived! What are your thoughts - do you resend or move on to the next address? While I am glad she chose the first, personally I do the latter.
When I first joined Postcrossing, I always resent cards if they didn't arrive, but now I don't. I've realized that some cards do get lost along the way, but also, some people just stop Postcrossing without reason, or get bored by it, or whatever.
ReplyDeleteIt has never occurred to me to resend an expired card. I just thought that since the meter roles over I would get the eligible number of cards at that time. I do think it is very thoughtful that she would resend to you, I also just accept expired cards as part of the process. My longest time for a received card is 109 days. The longest sent card is 178 days. You just never know!
