I posted last week or so that I did a private swap with JJ from Washington DC. Somewhere in between our card exchange and emails it came up that we both liked the British Royal Family. She sent me this great card of Princess Diana, one of the last photos taken by Mario Testino for Vanity Fair. The timing was perfect as I had recently taken the kids to see an exhibit at the Design Exchange in Toronto of Diana's dresses before they went to auction. A fantastic show and the third time I had seen an exhibit such as this. The last time the Design Exchange hosted one about 9 years ago or so I was fortunate enough to see her wedding dress. Words will never do it justice - let's just say it was incredible. JJ is also really into stamps so I can always trust her to send me something new and fun - isn't the Tiffany Lamp just stunning?
The photo of Princess Di is just stunning. I've never seen that one before, she looks so happy.

DeleteThanks for featuring this! You know I would have loved to have seen that dress show. I bought the auction catalog from her sale at Christie's some years ago & it is a prized possession. You know I'm not really as much into British royalty now without Princess Diana - it's just not the same - & I really don't like Waity Katie. :(
