OFFICIAL Card - Germany

Alexandra sent me this card from Munich at the beginning of January. She writes the card shows the "Munchner Kindl" which is the official emblem figure of Munich. Each year a woman is voted to be the "Munchner Kindl" which then represents Munich at Octoberfest. Interesting custom!

    Oh my! I was born in Munich & spent my early years growing up there. The little girl is standing in (or superimposed in front of) the Marienplatz, which is one of the main squares in Munich. I have a ceramic Münchner Kindl right on the shelf above me!
